Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the community and your membership. We do not sell your personal information, we do not run third-party advertising, and we do not track you around the internet. Your profile and activity are visible only inside the community to other members.

Account information. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).

Profile information. Details you choose to add — such as your photo, profession, city and state, interests, bio, and any social or contact links. You decide what to share, and you can edit or remove it at any time.

Activity in the community. The posts, comments, likes, poll votes, connections, and messages you create so the community works and so we can show your Legacy Points and rank.

Payment information. When you subscribe, our payment processor handles your card details directly. We do not see or store your full card number — we only receive your subscription status and billing dates needed to manage your membership.

Basic technical data. Standard information needed to keep the platform secure and working, such as a login session cookie and basic log data.

We use your information to create and secure your account, run your membership and billing, power core features (your profile, feed, connections, messages, leaderboard, and notifications), send you service and community emails you have opted into, and keep the community safe by enforcing our Terms and Community Guidelines.

You control what goes on your profile and can edit or delete it any time from your settings. You can toggle whether your location is shown to other members, choose which email notifications you receive, and decide who you connect and share with. You can close your account and request deletion at any time (see “Your rights” below).

The B1 Village is a members-only space. Your profile and community activity are visible to other logged-in members, not to the public or search engines. Private contact details and social links you add are only revealed to members you have accepted a connection with. Direct messages are visible only to you and the member(s) in the conversation.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone. We do not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. We do not run third-party ad networks or advertising trackers on the platform, and we do not follow you across other websites or apps.

We use a small number of trusted providers strictly to operate the platform: a payment processor to handle subscription billing, a hosting and infrastructure provider to run the app and database, and an email provider to deliver the notifications you opt into. These providers may only process your information to perform their service for us — not for their own purposes.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and secure password storage, and we limit access to your information to what is needed to run the platform. No system can be guaranteed 100% secure, but we take protecting your data seriously.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep limited records to meet legal, tax, or security obligations.

You can access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. Much of this you can do yourself in your settings; for anything else, email us at [email protected] and we will help.

We use a login session cookie to keep you signed in and to keep your account secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

The B1 Village is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you within the platform.
